How do I know when it’s time to change my bow string?
No matter what brand of bow you’re using, it’s never too early to replace your stock string! Even if your bow is brand new, a Genesis bow string replacement can provide an immediate boost in performance and reliability.
You should replace a worn-out bow string if you notice a decrease in your bow’s performance. Even if your bow still seems to be performing well, you should replace the string if it’s frayed, separating, fuzzy, or dry and brittle.

Should I replace my bow string and cables at the same time?
While it’s not mandatory, we do strongly recommend replacing them together. Not only is it more convenient and cost-effective, but it’s important to keep your setup consistent.
Your Genesis bow string and cable work together to keep your cams in the correct position. Replacing one without the other can disrupt the balance, leading to poor performance and potentially causing one of them to break prematurely.
